Join us for this special New Year wellness retreat to pamper the body and mind.
Indulge yourself in this luxurious day retreat set in a beautiful former monastery near Henley-on-Thames.
This relaxing day retreat combines yoga, meditation, guided relaxation (Yoga Nidra) and wellness/goal setting sessions to provide you with a blissful day of pampering and relaxation. A little me-time to start the new year with a focus on self-care. We will help you to reduce stress, clear the mind, recharge the batteries and even set goals for the year ahead. Choose from a luxury facial treatment to relax the facial and shoulder muscles or a non touch Pranic Healing treatment to remove your stress or a reflexology session.
NOTE: This retreat is now available for SATURDAY 19TH JANUARY 2019 only - Please do not book for Sunday 20th as this date is no longer running due to complications with the venue.
Delight in the vegan food, vegan certified nutrition information and a 10 minute luxury facial treatment to relax the facial and shoulder muscles or a 10 min non touch Pranic Healing treatment to remove your stress or a 10 minute reflexology session.
What Does the Retreat Include?
The retreat includes a carefully planned retreat day in this beautiful venue. There are two yoga sessions, a 1-2-1 treatment with Kate (see at the bottom for exact details on this), 2019 goal setting workshop, optional sleep, detox and mindfulness talks and a meditation and Yoga Nidra session.
Saturday 19th Jan 2019 - Detox and Destress
Saturday will begin with a warm welcome from your hosts Kate, Mon and Susan accompanied by a delicious vegan herbal infusion tea and healthy snack. The aim of the day is to help you to detox and destress through our programme of yoga, meditation, detox talk, vegan food and mindfulness talks.
In the morning you will experience a Detoxing Yoga practice beginning with a mindful breath practice, moving into a flow class to stimulate the physical, mental and energetic body. You will feel calmer, more focused and de-stressed. This will be followed by a special healing and energising meditation.
The morning also includes a selection of optional talks. Note that these short specialist talks run at the same time - so select one of the following to enjoy:
1. Mindfulness in everyday life with Mon
2. Detox talk with Kate
3. Yoga for Insomnia and Sleep Recovery with Susan
After the talks will be a healthy vegan lunch. Then we move into a special Goal Setting and Vision Board Workshop. This is a special workshop to help you focus your mind for 2019 using meditation and creative techniques to find your purpose for the year.
Saturday afternoon also includes a Gentle Hatha Yoga session to calm the body and mind. This is a gentle flowing style of yoga that is suitable for all levels. After the yoga practice will be a 20 minute Yoga nidra. This guided relaxation or 'yogic sleep' practice is among one of the deepest possible states of relaxation while still maintaining full consciousness. Think of it like a guided relaxation or meditation. Yoga nidra can be used therapeutically for healing, as well as to enhance creativity and productivity and to improve sleep and general health.
At the end of your day enjoy a Vegan Protein Shake (pea, cranberry and rice proteins) which comes in Vanilla or Chocolate flavours to rejuvenate the muscles after your yoga workout and a refreshment designed to rehydrate the body and boost the immune system.
Don't forget that although we have planned lots of lovely sessions for you to enjoy, absolutely everything is optional! If you feel the need to stroll around the grounds, read a book or just have some time to yourself, then please do so. This is your retreat!
Throughout the day there will be the opportunity to book your 1-2-1 treatment with Kate. This will be booked on arrival - further details of available slots will be released nearer the time.
This will be a relaxing yet uplifting retreat day that will have you feeling restored and ready to face the world with a renewed energy for life.

Price inclusive of vegan lunch and refreshments throughout the day and also a 10 minute treatment (Luxury Facial, Pranic Healing or Reflexology).

Accommodation at St. Katharines (Optional)
Overnight accommodation at the venue itself is optional and can be booked direct with the venue. This is available on Friday and Saturday if you wish to stay and will be useful for anyone travelling from further away. Approximate costs are £40 per person for a single room including a continental breakfast and £75 for a shared room including continental breakfast. What to Bring
- Please bring yourself and wear comfortable clothing.
- If you have your own yoga mat please bring it with you. If you need to borrow a mat please contact us to request this by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
- If you have yoga blocks, bricks, straps or a bolster and are used to using them for yoga then please bring these along too.
- Please bring a blanket and cushion for the Yoga Nidra (guided relaxation) to get really comfortable
About Your Hosts
This event is hosted by three experienced yoga and wellness practitioners Kate Mills, Monika Anton and Susan Yeates. Friends for many years, they decided to team up to offer a really unique blend of relaxation, nutrition and wellness to treat the mind, body and soul for this day-retreat.
Kate Mills - Wellness Coach @ The Rainbow Healing Hub
Kate helps people to overcome general aches and pains, chronic illnesses, mental disorders like anxiety, depression, insomnia and stress. Pranic Healing can treat any condition to promote mental clarity and increase focus as well as restoring your bodies natural balance. Kate is also a skincare specialist and wellness coach helping people to live healthier lives by looking closely at their individual lifestyles and nutrition. She makes adjustments with you to not only help with anti-ageing but also to increase energy levels whilst achieving clear skin at the same time. Helping you to feel good on the inside and look great on the outside.
Monika Anton - Yoga and Mindfulness Teacher @ Namamon Yoga
Monika or Mon as she likes to be called is a Colnbrook based Hatha Yoga and Mindfulness Yoga Alliance qualified teacher. As well as running corporate classes in London, Mon teaches for Sweaty Betty, a leading European Sports brand and across several local leisure centres and Yoga studios in London, Maidenhead and Windsor. Mon is known for her energetic and nurturing classes and having trained in Thailand and Australia, follows the intelligent sequencing of the Vikasa Yoga Method based on mindy, body and spirit connection. Mon's classes all include breath awareness underpinned by meditation. Ultimately, not only the physical practice, but the stilling of the mind brings greater self awareness, heightened energy levels and a deep sense of inner peace and outer wisdom.
Susan Yeates - Yoga Teacher @ Susan's World of Yoga
Susan is a yoga teacher, mum and founder of Susan's World of Yoga – an online yoga space for anyone looking to get better quality rest and relaxation. Blending expert yoga tuition with specialist knowledge in the field of pregnancy and postnatal yoga, restorative yoga and guided relaxation (Yoga Nidra) she provides a unique perspective on how to find deep relaxation and reconnect with yourself. Join Susan to nurture your body and soul, relax your mind and indulge in essential 'me time' - perfect for tired mamas!

Q: What's the refund policy?
A: We offer a full refund up to 14 days before the event. If you need to cancel within seven days of the event and can find someone to take your space we may be able to switch across the booking.
Q: I am a beginner to yoga - can I still take part?
A: Of course you can! All of our yoga sessions are inclusive of beginners as well as those who have experienced yoga before. Our yoga teachers are very experienced and will make you feel right at home (and very relaxed too!).
